About us Motorhome-World was started in 2002 to manufacture motorhomes for the Bobo Campers rental fleet, since they wanted models other than those available on the market at the time. Using unique designs and manufac- turing techniques, the plant quickly grew into a plant that also caters for the private market. Today, Motorhome-World employs 60 staff and enjoys a large market share in South Africa's motorhome manufacturing market. We aspire to introduce a new model annually. Our histogram is therefor as follows: 2002- The first Discoverer 4 is developed and produced from humble beginnings. 2003- The Discoverer 4 is improved but still lacks quality finishes. 2004- The development and introduction of the Discoverer 2. Based on a Nissan Hardbody chassis, the model is not popular in the private market, but one of the best models ever in the rental sector. Improvements on the Discoverer 4 are also carried out. 2005- The introduction of the Discoverer 4 version 2. More friendlier looking with a curved integrated luton and rear end. 2006- The introduction of the Discoverer 6. The first 6-berth motorhome. Automatic gearboxes also arrive. 2007- The introduction of the Discoverer X. Motorhome-World's first 4x4 motorhome. 2008- The introduction of the Discoverer Deluxe. Based on the latest Mercedes-Benz chassis, the luxury motorhome has its layout based on the tried and tested European 2 berth formula. 2009- Give us your ideas. We thrive on them! Up-to-date manufacturing techniques like the use of CNC machines, in-house designers and being the first and still only users of Nydacore side walls and roofs, has put us on the foreground of innovation and early adaption policies. Nydacore has been used in the Yacht building industry for years and being situated in Cape Town it was a matter of time before we were introduced to this wonderful product. Since 2005, Motorhome-World also started importing the world famous Fiamma range of products which was quikly followed by Alden automatic roof-mounted satellite dishes. Feel free to visit us. It will be our pleasure to show you our factory. We have an open-door policy. |
